Begin from your home
People find it tough going out from home for some separate yoga classes daily. So, to make it a bit convenient, you can reserve some space at your home, where you can do yoga daily. This will give a two fold benefit, saving your time and being more convenient.
You may not have paid attention to it, but still, it matters. Although a sticky mat will be a bit costly, but you will know its importance when you will perform spread-legged postures. The sticky mat keeps your posture undisturbed as it has sufficient grip with the floor.
Take some guidance
Never try to start exercises or asanas randomly. Yoga, if not performed properly, can have reverse effects on your body. So, take advice from a yoga teacher or some friend who is doing it from certain time. You can also take help of few good websites also.
Make it a routine
Doing yoga at irregularly is nearly equal to not doing it at all. So, define a certain time in a day, dusk preferably, making it a habit and doing it regularly. This will have a good effect on your body.
Chanting will refresh you throughout
Learn some Sanskrit shlokas and regularly chant them in a soft voice. You may think this is childish, but researches, not only within India but abroad as well, have found that chanting “Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare; Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare” regularly, keeps you away from depression.
